We're beginning to gear up for Cursed Earth filming. First I'd like to apologise to everyone who has kindly offered to help out as extras. Sorry that I haven't replied, I will be doing so this week. I was waiting for a few details to be confirmed and I wanted to avoid drip feeding information across a numerous emails.
Also, we have decide to move a couple of key scenes from our North Wales location for dramatic and logistical reasons. This means that we will be scheduling another smaller shoot later in the year. This will require fewer cast and will not be overnight.
We have a couple of locations in mind for this. However, if you own, or know the owner of a particularly derelict piece of land or building, please feel free to let me know.
There are plenty of good locations around the country, but getting permission from the correct person is always the difficult bit. The things we are looking for are - easy access, safety, lack of vegetation, derelict or barren appearance.

Don't forget I'm okay for Wales (my time off is booked) also this new shoot that you talk about (it's not South Africa is it!), I'm sure I'll be able to get there, that is if you need me ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm also ok for the Wales shoot as my time off is also booked. Would love to attend and hope you need me :)
ReplyDeleteThe North Bank of the Thames, around Tilbury, is pretty industrial. With the right lighting, (or even just on a bad day) it could double as the Cursed Earth.
ReplyDeleteYou know if you can make the trip to the United States we have Nevada and Utah, It doesn't get more Desolate then that. Plus some ghost towns and *shiver* Goldfield, Nevada USA

Oh baby! That would be our dream location.
ReplyDeleteI'll show the pictures to Steve Green for reference, there's some cool stuff he may want to simulate.
Thanks!
If anything you have to recreate the the Doll head car. There are several decorated cars and one is cover with just doll heads. Nightmares so many nightmares!
ReplyDeleteIn seriousness if by some way you find a way out there, I live in a much nicer part of Nevada and can volunteer my time. All that is only a short drive away from where I live.
I really just want to see a good film made that I can watch more then once
Yeah I was thinking you guys should come here and do some shooting in the outback here. There are some pretty amazing locations, crumbling buildings and all. Nothing says post-apocalypse quite like the outback...
ReplyDeletePlus- lots of Dredd fans here for extras.
